During a private session held on 3 October, the five justices who comprise the Supreme Court for Justice in the Nation (SCJN) admitted for consideration the petition of the recognition of innocence of Alberto Patishtán Gómez, a move that signifies that in the coming days the minister Olga Sánchez Cordero will develop a project for resolution that will consider if the court has the capacity definitively to resolve the Patishtán case.
In other news, on the same day, Patishtán was transferred from Chiapas most likely to the National Institute of Neurology “Manuel Velasco Suárez” in Mexico City, so that the brain tumor that has affected his vision and nearly blinded him can be treated.
