In an assembly, the movement of ejidatarios from Carrizalillo, Eduardo Neri municipality, agreed to demand before the Agrarian Tribunal the return of their lands from the Canadian mining company Gold Corp, which has been carrying out extractive work in the region since 2007.

This decision was taken during the past two weeks, when the neighbors of Carrizalillo began a blockade that impeded the movement of employees and workers to the mine, toward the end of pressuring the company into paying a higher rent for access to the lands, in light of the great profits made by the company and the damages caused to the local population in terms of the destruction of land and adverse health impacts.
