The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Morelos (FGE) reported the murder of one of the leaders of Guerrero Unidos in a shopping area in Cuernavaca, Morelos. It concerns Moises Brito Bautista, who had an arrest warrant in Iguala for homicide and for his alleged connection with “the disappearance of the students from the Ayotzinapa Normal Rural School in 2014.” In addition, official reports from the Secretary of National Defense (SEDENA) report that Brito Bautista deserted from the Army in September 2012 and was attached to the 27th Infantry Battalion, based in Iguala.

According to reports, individuals on a motorcycle fired at Brito Bautista, alias “El Bandam”, who died at the scene, as well as his companion, who later died in hospital.

The murder of the criminal leader represents “the most recent execution of a “key piece” of the Ayotzinapa case” in the context of the investigation of the case carried out by the current government “and that unleashed a brutal battle in the city of Iguala that has left a trail of murders in recent months.”

Such is the case of the execution of the former commander of the Ministerial Police of the Guerrero State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), Humberto Velazquez Delgado, “El Guacho”, identified as a key player in the massacre and disappearance of the 43 student teachers.
