In the early hours of Wednesday, a truck carrying migrants overturned on the Tuxtla bypass, leaving at least three people dead and seven injured. At around 5 a.m., a Suburban-type truck, with license plates from Mexico City, left the asphalt strip in the New Manuel Velasco South Bypass, kilometer 10 at the level of the Raymunda Enriquez neighborhood.
The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), through its report on the event, states that three lifeless bodies were found in the vehicle, apparently of foreign nationality, and seven injured people, four from Guatemala, one from El Salvador. and two pending identification.
The FGE through the Migrant Prosecutor’s Office announced that an investigation file was opened for homicide and wrongful injuries to the detriment of Central American migrants, against those who are responsible for what happened in Tuxtla. The driver of the vehicle fled.
“People of Guatemalan nationality, five male and two female, in the age range of 22 to 41, were admitted to the hospital unit with diagnoses of abdominal trauma, head trauma, eye trauma, fractures, dislocations and other serious injuries. The latest medical report indicates that the health status of six patients is serious and one of the women is reported as delicate”, Chiapas Paralelo reperted.
