On Sunday, July 27, at approximately 2 in the morning, shots were fired by unknown gunmen at the home of Melesio Melchor Ángeles, an announcer at Zaachila Radio, located in Zaachila, Oaxaca. Jorge Aragón, another member of Zaachila Radio, was also assaulted. It is worth noting that a planned visit to the area by governor Ulises Ruiz was blocked by the community last June 20.
