The Mexican League for the Defense of Human Rights (LIMEDDH), reported that on May 26, the teacher Damian Gallardo Martinez, was attacked in the jail in Salto, Jalisco, where he is imprisoned having been accused of kidnapping the children of a Oaxacan entrepreneur. A criminal complaint was presented to investigate the facts, since his relatives fear he might be victimized by a new assault. Martínez Gallardo’s defense asked the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) to issue precautionary measures to ensure his physical and psychological integrity.
